From the recording Dark Times
Lyrics
Winter was a blunderbuss we're buried under snow
Trapped between the suffering and the solace of our homes
It is hard to find salvation when there's frostbite on your toes
Acid rain and candy cane are falling from the sky
Time will tell us something if we listen to it right
But we'll never hear the answers if we never even try
And I don't think I'm the one to reach out to in these dark times
If a trip around the sun was enough then I'd be alright
Summer came it's all the same, we're drinking from the hose
Temperatures are rising and we're drowning in our clothes
But you'll never get a sunburn if you never get exposed
If we believe all we conceive including all the lies
We'll never learn how to discern the porridge from the pie
And it's hard to get to heaven when you've already died
But I don't think I'm the one to reach out to in these dark times
If a trip around the sun was enough then I'd be alright
Though the outcome isn't guaranteed
Looking backwards isn't what we need
Let me show you the way to inner peace
Will you suffer, or will you be free
