KVR Officially Launches Boutique Publishing House

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kinda Vague Publishing

Denver, Co | 11/22/24

Kinda Vague Publishing is Denver’s boutique literary publishing house with a multi-medium artist collective as its core leadership,” said Rob Dixon III, SEF.

With this statement, our SEF (Shadowy Egnimatic Figure) has announced the launch of a new independent literary publisher, establishing the Kinda Vague fleet, which has Denver, Colorado, as its home port. Yes, that’s a naval reference for a landlocked state. But let us continue to ride this analogy into the rocks with yet another: the modern publishing world and the digital revolution have made the list of new book titles as vast as the Southern Indian Ocean–and talented independent authors are adrift.

“Did your last book signing look like a scene from Castaway?”

Kinda Vague Publishing is the signal flare that illuminates…well, enough of that drivel.

It’s hard to be an indie band. We know. We represent two of them. So we figured that the only thing harder than promoting music in an overcrowded market is trying to promote independent authors in a publishing landscape where AI threatens a neo-existentialist crisis for all who toil in the land of words.

Are writers just grains of sand in a desolate cultural landscape?

Will Dungeons and Dragons campaigns become the new form of literature?

Join us in this literary endeavor to discover if the fortuitous fellowship of unknowns can transform into sustainable income through artistic enterprise. We seek to ally Denver’s most talented (yet unsigned and self-published) artists in an art house determined to win in our hometown market as the first step to expanding into other territories.

Our vision is that of musicians, writers, and graphic designers forging strong partnerships at the crossroads of shared influences and complementary voices. They are willing to promote each other with passion and authenticity and lend their unique skillsets to benefit the collective. Together, we can convert apathetic strangers into engaged fanbases.

We seek talented graphic designers to unleash their creativity with literary and musical clients, challenging them to make boldly human art.

We seek local bands who are fans of books, and local authors who will promote local musicians.

It’s us against the machine.
